Quote addiction

I'm a quote addicted and I just decided to put some quotes in here, and since this blog is about the changes in me and my life in general, I'm focus on quotes that represent that, thisng that I didn't believe and now I do, things I didn't know and now I know or simply the change in my heart itself.

"Just because you love someone doesn't mean you have to be involved with them. Love is not a bandage to cover wounds." - Hugh Elliott,

"I cannot think well of a man who sports with any woman's feelings." - Jane Austen

"Is love supposed to last throughout all time, or is it like trains changing at random stops. If I loved her, how could I leave her? If I felt that way then, how come I don't feel anything now?" - Jeff Melvoin

"To be brave is to love someone unconditionally, without expecting anything in return. To just give. That takes courage, because we don't want to fall on our faces or leave ourselves open to hurt." - Madonna

"Learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all." - Michael Masser and Linda Creed

"Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - Bible

"I would never die for my beliefs because I might be wrong." - Bertrand Russell

"I would rather have a mind opened by wonder than one closed by belief." - Gerry Spence

"They were so strong in their beliefs that there came a time when it hardly mattered what exactly those beliefs were; they all fused into a single stubbornness." - Louise Erdrich

"It hurts to find out that what you wanted doesn't match what you dreamed it would be." - Randy K. Milholland,

"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me." - Carol Burnett

"We did not change as we grew older; we just became more clearly ourselves." - Lynn Hall

"Any transition serious enough to alter your definition of self will require not just small adjustments in your way of living and thinking but a full-on metamorphosis." - Martha Beck

"There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered." - Nelson Mandela

"I've arrived at this outermost edge of my life by my own actions. Where I am is thoroughly unacceptable. Therefore, I must stop doing what I've been doing." - Alice Koller,

"To know what you prefer instead of humbly saying Amen to what the world tells you you ought to prefer, is to have kept your soul alive." - Robert Louis Stevenson

"I'm an idealist. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way." - Carl Sandburg

"One thing is clear to me. You can't know everything you'd like to know. You can't do everything you'd like to do. You can't read everything you'd like to read. You must hold onto some things and let go of others. Learning to make that choice is one of the big lessons of this life." - Real Live Preacher,

"My life is the story of a man who always wants to carry too much. My spiritual quest is the painful process of learning to let go of things not essential." - Real Live Preacher
